Pauline Gaile Rosebaugh

Pauline G. Rosebaugh, age 90, former Hays resident died Friday, April 13, 2012, in Wichita, Kansas.

Pauline was born August 19, 1921, in Marysville, Kansas, to James and Delpha (Nelson) Down.  She married George Rosebaugh July 29, 1939 in Marysville.  He died April 24, 1999.  After many relocations for George’s work, they settled in Hays, Kansas where they lived as a family for many years.  After enjoying her work at Jack and Jill, Pauline took great pleasure in babysitting for several years.  Following her mother’s lead, she started devoting her time and energy to the Senior Companion Program for 20 years.  Pauline was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Survivors include her daughter-in-laws, Carolyn Mountford Rosebaugh of Kansas City and Jana Rankin Rosebaugh of Wichita, Kansas; grandchildren, Kelley Rosebaugh of Valley Center, Kansas and Megan Rosebaugh of Wichita, Kansas and a great grandson, Dakota Morgan of Valley Center, Kansas.  She was preceded in death by her sons, William Allen “Bill” and Robert Lee “Bob”, a brother Lee Down.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at the Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 20th and Pine.  Burial will be in the Fort Hays Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Hays.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4 until 6 p.m. and on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.  Memorials may be made in her name and memory to the Senior Companion Program in Hays, Kansas.  Condolences to the family at www.haysmemorial.com.
