Edna Jane Casper

Edna Jane Casper, 88, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at the Hays Good Samaritan Society.

She was born June 20, 1923 in Stockton, Kansas the daughter of Joseph and Frances (Brownell) Bailey.  She married Donald Casper on April 29, 1946 in Great Bend, Kansas.  He preceded her in death in 1981.  She was a waitress at Dan’s Cafe and Kent’s Cafe in Hays for many years.

Survivors include four sons, Danny Casper of Las Vegas, Nevada, Jeff Casper of Brownell, Kansas, and Tom Casper and Kelly Casper both of Hays, a daughter Diane Dreiling of Medicine Lodge, Kansas, ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph “Bud” Bailey and sisters Carol Fuller and Gladys McDowell.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 9, 2012 at the Mt. Allen Cemetery, Hays.  Memorials are suggested to the Hays Good Samaritan Society, in care of the Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.haysmemorial.com

Casper Family, We are very sorry to here of your loss and our hearts and prayers go out to all of you. Your Mother was always a big part of our lives while growing up. Our Mother would often speak of her and was always a part of her heart. I wish I could be their with you all and maybe we can all get togather this summer sometime as we are moving to Missouri and will be making trips back and forth.
