Julius C. Windholz

Julius C. Windholz, 74, Victoria, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at HaysMed.

He was born on September 24, 1949 in Victoria, the son of Celestine and Catherine (Leiker) Windholz.  Julius dedicated his life to his passion as a painter, leaving behind a legacy of creativity and artistry.  He also enjoyed his work at Smoky Hill Country Club and U-Save Pharmacy. 

He is survived by his two devoted sisters, Celeste Sander (Vernon) and Wilma Windholz, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents and an infant brother, Joseph.  He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

A celebration of Julius’s life will be at 10:00 am on Monday, May 13, 2024 at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Hays, with Fr. James Moster, OFM Cap. officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Fidelis Cemetery in Victoria.  The family will receive friends from 9:00 am until service time on Monday at the funeral home.  Please join us as we honor and remember the life of a remarkable individual.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested for the family’s wishes with checks made payable to Celeste Sander.  May Julius’s memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all.  Condolences and memories of Julius may be left for his family at www.haysmemorial.com
