I had the amazing pleasure of helping Brian through work at LINK. He loved to talk politics with me and keep me on the straight and narrow path of a Kansas kid! I moved away and have always remembered our fun trips to see his doctors. Even though his path was one filled with hard times his fire and energy in life left a impact on me. The time I spent helping him wasn't a job, but a blessing making a friend I will always remember.

I was saddened to hear of Brian's passing. He and I became good friends as fellow executive directors of Centers for Independent Living when we both served on the Board of Directors of APRIL in the early 1990s. We met at numerous independent living conferences and APRIL meetings over the years and always enjoyed each other's company and our experiences as advocates for people with disabilities. I had the great pleasure of spending time with him here in Missoula Montana on a couple of occasions when he visited here, and I was able to show him some of the great outdoors in my neck of the woods as well as our local brand of college football. I have many fond memories of our times together. He was a great advocate and even better person and will be missed tremendously. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Dennis, Merritta, Courtney and Families. I was so sorry to hear of Brian passing. I have many fond memories of Brian and our years together participating in 4H and of course the relationships between your family and mine! I remember Brian as a guy who always went at life "full throttle". Although I hadn't seen him in quite a few years, I imagine he still lived it the same way, just slightly slower. Please know you all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sorry to hear of Brian's passing. Todd was Brian's roommate there at Wesley, and I was one of the nurse's that was assigned to him. They had good times there at Wesley. Hopefully, the friendship and time spent helped pass the time. They were dismissed around the same time. Spring 1980, He had a tough journey, but now free of his disability. We know he worked hard and made a life of himself despite of his disability. We will be thinking of you in the next few days. Todd and Clara Robinson
