Lillian M. Staab

Lillian M. Staab, 89, Hays, died Monday, August 28, 2017 at Via Christi Village Long Term Care.

She was born April 1, 1928 in Hyacinth, Kansas the daughter of Frank and Catherine (Schuckman) Ubert.  On June 8, 1959 she was united in marriage to Francis J. “Frank” Staab in Hyacinth.  He preceded her in death on August 2, 2006.  She was a homemaker and a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and the VFW Post #9076 Women’s Auxiliary. 

Survivors include a brother; Wilfred “Fritz” Ubert of Arvada, Colorado and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers; William, Alphonse, Robert, Victor, Francis, and Walter Ubert and four sisters; Ida Goetz, Hilda Jacques, Eleanor Ross, and Sally Molleker.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1805 Vine Street, with Fr. Barry Brinkman officiating.  Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 9:00 am until service time on Wednesday at the church.  Memorials are suggested to the church or to masses in care of the Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.haysmemorial.com
