Noelle Moore (Applegate) Fox, 53, Hays, died Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Hays Medical Center.
She was born September 8, 1966 in Kansas City, Kansas the youngest of four children to Dr. Francis R. and Haven (Moore) Applegate. She was a 1985 graduate of Hays High School and she earned her bachelor’s degree with honors in journalism from the University of Kansas in 1989. She was also a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority.
No-one could light up a room quite like Noelle with her contagious laugh, smile, and bubbly personality. She enjoyed entertaining, hosting dinners at her home and being surrounded by family and friends. Noelle always kept herself busy and active with being a board member and 2nd Vice Chair for the Kansas Children’s Service League. She was also a board member and Executive Committee Member for the Lied Center for Performing Arts. Noelle’s love for music lead her to become a member of the Presbyterian choir, KU Chamber Choir, and KU Singers, eventually she passed on her love for music and theater to her two daughters Brooke and Sadie.
She returned back to Hays in 2019 to spend more time with her parents.
Survivors include her parents; Francis and Haven Applegate of Hays, two brothers; Darin Applegate of Hays, and Troy Applegate and wife Connie of Gunter, Texas, two daughters; Brooke and Sadie Fox and nieces; Alexandra and Ashley Applegate, Kalee Daily, Courtney Karlin and nephew Koby Daily.
She was preceded in death by her sister Kirsten Daily of Hays.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 10, 2020 at the First Presbyterian Church, 2900 Hall St, with Pastor Celeste Lasich and Pastor Roy Layman officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Fort Hays Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until service time on Friday at the church.
