Anna Lee Meek

Anna Lee Meek, 97, Porter, Texas, died Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Caring Hands Assisted Living in Porter.

She was born December 21, 1928 in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas, the daughter of Clarence Lee and Roberta (Bowers) House.  Anna Lee graduated from Hays High School.  On September 22, 1949, she was united in marriage to Bill G. Meek in Hays, and they celebrated nearly 64 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on August 11, 2013.  While living in Liberal, Kansas Anna Lee worked at Oliver's Shoes and Collins Diamonds. In retirement, she enjoyed crafting, country music, traveling and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her sons David Meek and wife Nancy of Porter, TX, Bill Meek of Liberal, KS and Gary Meek of Moore, OK, her daughter-in-law Donna Meek of Porter, TX, daughter-in-law Kim Meek of Sapulpa, OK, eight grandchildren Shawn Meek, Brandon Meek, Bryan Meek, Jason Meek, Joshua Meek, Farrah Gomez, Kerry Ools, and Adam Wooden, numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill, son Kevin Meek, twin sons David Lee and Gary Lynn Meek, her brother Bud House, her sister Mary K. Schmidt, and her daughter-in-law Michelle Meek.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at First United Methodist Church in Hays, Kansas.  Burial will follow in Mt.
