Anthony P. “Tony” Seib

Anthony P. “Tony” Seib, 92, Munjor, died Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at HaysMed.

He was born May 25, 1928 on the family farm in Ness County, Kansas, the son of Paul and Mary (Stoecklein) Seib.  On November 21, 1949 he married Wilma Stecklein In Ness City, and they celebrated 71 years of marriage.  He worked for many years as supervisor for the Ellis County Road and Bridge Department and ran a mail contract route for the U.S. Postal Service for over 50 years.  Tony was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and a charter member of the St. Francis Third Degree Knights of Columbus Council #11492.

Survivors include his wife Wilma of Munjor, five sons: Ron (Jean) Seib of Tacoma, WA, Don (Janice) Seib of Munjor, Mike (Nancy) Seib of Hays, Frank (Paulette) Seib of Munjor, and Allen Seib of Jefferson City, MO, seven brothers: Eugene Seib, Paul (Shelby) Seib, Jr., Robert (JoAnn) Seib, Tom (Ellen) Seib, Vern (Glenda) Seib, Jerry Seib, and Gary (Gloria) Seib, two sisters: Lorita (Leonard) Franz and Mary Catherine Hilmes, 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Paul and Mary Seib, one brother: James Seib, three sisters: Eleanor (Ed) Knoll, Benita (Dan) Snyder, and Sister Florence Seib, a brother-in-law: James Hilmes, two sisters-in-law: Joan Seib and Barbara Seib, a nephew: Thomas Franz, a niece: Paula Knoll, and a grandson: Jeremy Seib.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Munjor with Fr. Damian Richards officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5:30 pm until 8:00 on Tuesday and from 8:30 am until 9:30 on Wednesday, all at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.  A praying of the rosary will be at 5:30 pm, and a vigil service will be at 6:30 pm followed by a Knights of Columbus rosary, all on Tuesday at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.  Condolences and memories of Tony may be shared with the family at www.haysmemorial.com
