Barbara J. Paul, 64, LaCrosse, formerly of Hays, died Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Locust Grove Village.

She was born August 16, 1958 in Hays, the daughter of Bal and Helen (Pfannenstiel) Younger.  Barbara graduated from Hays High School and was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.   She began her career as a Med Aide at Locust Grove Village and worked in various assisted living and nursing homes.  She enjoyed word searches and watching westerns on TV.  Barbara was loving, caring, and especially loved her dogs and her family.

Survivors include three brothers, David Younger and wife Donna of Hays, Donald Younger and wife Kathy of Salina, Tony Younger of LaCrosse, a sister-in-law, Cherri Younger of Ellis, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Robert James and Dennis George Younger.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Fr. Nick Parker officiating.  Inurnment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 9:00 am until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to Locust Grove Village or to the Humane Society of the High Plains.  Condolences and memories of Barbara may be shared with her family at www.haysmemorial.com
