Barney M. Northern
Barney M. Northern, 63, Ellis, died Sunday, March 19, 2023 at HaysMed.
He was born August 11, 1959 in San Diego, California, the son of Jack and Fay (Cordes) Northern. On July 24, 1982 he was united in marriage to Patricia Dixon in Riverside, California, and they were married over 40 years. Before moving to Kansas in 2011, Barney and Patricia lived in California where Barney worked as a correctional officer until his retirement. He was a Nascar fan and enjoyed trips to Las Vegas.
Survivors include his wife Patricia of Ellis, three sisters, Sharon Northern of San Antonio, TX, Becky Bashaw and husband Joel of San Jacinto, CA, and Jackie Northern of Riverside, CA, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
No funeral services are planned, and arrangements are in the care of Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or to the American Diabetes Association. Condolences and memories of Barney may be shared with his family at www.haysmemorial.com
