Cash James Moorman-Meador
Cash James Moorman-Meador took his last breath on August 28, 2025, in his parents' arms at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. He was born 15 weeks early on August 18, 2025, weighing 1 pound 11 ounces and being 12 and ½ inches long.
In his 10 short days on Earth, he stole the hearts of his NICU nurses and was deeply loved by his family and friends. He experienced holding his mommy and daddy’s fingers, cuddling them, and being told “I love you” an uncountable amount of times each day.
Survivors include his parents, Christian and Emily Moorman-Meador of Wamego; grandparents, Tim and Gail Staab of Hays, and Scott and Brandy Collins of Eudora; five uncles, Nathan Staab and wife Cindy and Connor Staab, all of Hays, Ethan Meador and wife Kassidy of Bonner Springs, Brayden Collins of Topeka, and Gavin Collins of Carbondale; one aunt, Angie Rupp and husband Mitch of Leawood; great-grandparents Dolores Leiker of Hays, and Bill and Darlene Moorman of Manhattan; and twelve cousins, Michaela, Brooke, Kristin, Gabriella, Blaise, Evan, Bridget, Seth, Rose, Declan, Delilah, and Delaney. He was preceded in death by his uncle Kevin Staab, and great-grandparents Virgil and Wilma Staab, and Delbert Leiker.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hays with Fr. Mike Leiker officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Memorial Cemetery in Manhattan, Kansas at 10:30 am on Friday, September 5, 2025. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 7:00 on Wednesday and from 9:00 am until 9:45 on Thursday, all at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home. A vigil service and rosary will be at 6:00 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested for family wishes and may be made payable to Christian Moorman-Meador.
