Deborah Jolene “Debby” Dreiling

Deborah Jolene “Debby” Dreiling, 74, Hays, died Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Hays Good Samaritan Society.

She was born January 31, 1948 in Belleville, Kansas the daughter of Henry “Hank” and Betty (Mulch) Trzicky.  On August 31, 1990 she was united in marriage to Harry Richard Dreiling in Hays.  They celebrated 26 years of marriage before he died on February 18, 2017.  She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and loved her family, especially her grandchildren.  She enjoyed trips to Casinos, western movies, and spending time on the farm in Munden, Kansas.

Survivors include her daughter: Melissa Largent of Newport, TN, a stepson: Jerome Dreiling of Hays, a stepdaughter: Virginia Basgall and husband Steve of Hays, a stepson-in-law: Bryan Phillips of Hays, one sister: Colleen Strnad and husband Vic of Lawrence, a granddaughter: Megan Largent, four step-grandchildren: MaRyan Hulvey and husband Nathan, Kendrick Basgall and wife Shania, Braden Dreiling and wife Ashley, and Gage Phillips, two great grandsons: Daniel and Andrew, and four step greatgrandchildren: Airalia, Eleanor, Parker, and Krew.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harry, and stepdaughter JoAnn Phillips.

Inurnment will take place at a later date in Tabor Cemetery, Munden, Kansas.  Memorials may be made payable to: Immaculate Heart of Mary Church Building Fund or to Hospice of HaysMed, in care of Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1906 Pine Street, Hays, KS  67601.  Condolences and memories of Debby may be shared with the family at www.haysmemorial.com
