Eileen Jensen Obituary

Eileen (Marshall) Jensen

Eileen (Marshall) Jensen of Hays, the third child of Everett and Ora Marshall, born June 29, 1944 in Hays, passed away peacefully on Sunday, on June 22, 2025, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love, kindness, and quiet strength that touched the lives of all who knew her.  She would have been 81 the following Sunday, June 29th.

Born Eileen Elizabeth Marshall, she carried her family name with pride throughout her life, even after marriage. Eileen was a woman of grace and strength who found joy in the simple pleasures of life and devoted herself to maintaining close bonds with her extended family, including her church. She was a hair stylist for many years.

Though Eileen had no children of her own, she was a beloved aunt who played a significant role in the lives of her niece and nephews. Her nurturing spirit and generous heart made her a cornerstone of the Marshall family, and her influence extended far beyond the boundaries of her Kansas home.

Eileen is survived by her sister La Veta Leininger of Spirit Lake, ID, a brother, Larry G. Marshall of Decatur, AL, and three nephews:  John David Farley of Spirit Lake, ID, Brent Everett Marshall of Minneapolis, MN, and Alan Harry Marshall of Decatur, AL. Each of them carries forward the values and love that Eileen instilled in their family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving niece, Jennifer Farley and her nephew, Jeffery Farley.

Throughout her life in Hays, Eileen was known for her warmth, her caring nature, and her ability to make everyone feel welcome. She will be remembered not only for the love she shared with her family but for the kindness she extended to friends and neighbors in her community.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were privileged to know her, and her legacy will continue through the family she so dearly loved.

A funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at North Oak Community Church.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to North Oak Community Church in Eileen’s honor.  Condolences and memories of Eileen may be shared with her family at www.haysmemorial.com
