Janet A. Williams, 87, Hays, died Monday, September 21, 2020 at her daughter’s home in Augusta.

She was born July 29, 1933 in Natoma, Kansas the daughter of Albert and Edna (Hartman) Grasch.  She was a graduate of Natoma High School.  On June 3, 1951 she was united in marriage to Everett R. Williams in Alton, Kansas, and they celebrated 55 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on November 15, 2006.  Janet and Everett lived, worked, and raised their family on Higher View Dairy.  She was a former member of Messiah Lutheran Church, housekeeper at the Ramada Inn, and a Senior Companion.  Janet loved dancing, angels, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include a son; Rick Williams of Wichita, two daughters; Dee Rupp and husband Eddie of Hays and Pam Foster of Augusta, a brother-in-law; Bill Williams and wife Carolyn of Moundridge, eight grandchildren; Angie Rupp, Missy Trent and husband Robert, Jaycee Bourget and husband Rocky, Nichole Foster, Kelly Williams and wife Merresa, Shelly Williams, Trey Crouch and wife Maria and Megan Crouch, her longtime friend; Carol Ostrom, 18 great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Everett, and an infant son; Sean Williams.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 11:00 on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.  A prayer service will be at 10:30 with Rev. Rocco Mallardi officiating.  Private family inurnment will be in Mt. Allen Cemetery at a later date.  Memorials are suggested to Hospice of HaysMed or to Restoration Worship Center in Grand Island, Nebraska.  Condolences and memories of Janet may be shared with the family at www.haysmemorial.com
