Martha F. Sessin, 93, Hays, died Sunday, November 24, 2019 at HaysMed.

She was born November 29, 1925 on the family farm west of Hays, the daughter of Frank and Martha (Ploutz) Fogle.  In October of 1964 she married Fred Sessin, Jr., and they celebrated 39 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on November 17, 2003.  She was a hardworking farmer and farmwife and longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church.  She enjoyed flower gardening, doing puzzles, and was very determined and faithful.

Survivors include a son; Curt Sessin and wife Mary of Casper, WY, a daughter; Martha “Marty” Kennedy and husband David of Larned, a daughter-in-law; Karen Sessin of Los Angeles, CA, two granddaughters; Amber Hilton and fiance Andy McLain and Kaitlin Loberg, two grandsons; Cody Loberg and Billy Wahl, five great grandchildren; Hailie, Kailie, Danton, Mary, and Hunter, and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Fred, a son; Kirk Sessin, and a sister; Bertha Fogle.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at the Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Fort Hays Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until service time at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to the Humane Society of the High Plains.  Condolences and memories of Martha may be shared with the family at www.haysmemorial.com
