Randall Wayne “Randy” Jordan, Sr.
Randall Wayne “Randy” Jordan, Sr., 75, Hays, died Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
He was born March 14, 1945 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Larry and Rose (Gilmore) Jordan. He was a graduate of Beason High School in Beason, Illinois in the class of 1964. On September 4, 1964 he was united in marriage to Sue Clifton in Denver, Colorado, and they celebrated 56 years of marriage. Randy was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force from 1964 until 1968. He was a car salesman for James Motor Company for 25 years, a house builder, the owner and operator Jordelies, and after retirement started his frame shop, Acme Frame. He was a member of Pheasants Forever and a lifetime member and past Commander of Hays VFW Post #9076. He loved fishing, golfing, hunting, and being at his and Sue’s lake house on Tenkiller Lake in Oklahoma. Most of all, Randy absolutely adored his family and their time together.
Survivors include his wife Sue of Hays, two sons: Randall Wayne Jordan, Jr. and wife Myrna and Scott Allen Jordan and Becky, all of Hays, a brother: Richard Jordan of Springfield, IL, a sister: Linda Burkhart of Milwaukee, WI, nine grandchildren: Christopher Jordan and wife Emily of Manhattan, Matthew Jordan of Manhattan, Nikki Wiggins and husband Ryan of Russell, Gardner Jordan and wife Alexes of Mesa, AZ, Bailey Jordan of Longmont, CO, Chantee Jordan of San Marcus, TX, Carey Jordan of Schoenchen, Adam Kober and fiancé Cortney of Hays, and Alex Kober of LaCrosse, and five great grandchildren: Sammi, Aidyn, Gannon, Dillyn, and Jordan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Vicki Jordan.
Military Honors by the Hays VFW Post #9076 Honor Guard will be at 3:00 pm on Friday, June 4, 2021 at Pheasant Run Pancake House. The family will receive friends following the military honors until 7:00 pm in the restaurant. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or to Cancer Treatment Centers of America in care of Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
