Roberta C. Zeman, 74, WaKeeney, died Thursday, November 12, 2020 at HaysMed.

She was born July 1, 1946 in Hays, the daughter of Aegidius and Roberta (Weigel) Leiker. On January 14, 1984 she was united in marriage to Ralph “Gene” Zeman in Gove. She enjoyed spending time with her husband and family, gardening, sewing, and many other crafts.

Survivors include her husband Gene of the home in WaKeeney, a son: Cary D. Gottschalk of LaCrosse, two daughters: Nadine M. (Gottschalk) Buell (Randy) of Emporia, Nanette M. (Gottschalk) Yargus (Billy) of Hannibal, MO, a step-son Tim Zeman of Hays, a step-daughter: Kim Zeman of LaCrosse, seven grandchildren: Derrek Zietz of Seattle, WA, Jessica Thiessen (Bryce) of Haven, Justin Roberts (Amanda) of Hannibal, MO, Kamron Roberts (Cassidy) of Mt. Pleasant, IA, Bailey Stecklein of Hays, Hailey Zeman of LaCrosse, and Lilly Zeman of LaCrosse, five great grandchildren: Canden Buskirk, Remington Buskirk, Presleigh Thiessen, Aiyla Roberts, and Ettie Roberts, a brother: Anthony Leiker (Brenda) of Hays, three sisters: Doris Franch (Roy) of AZ, Barbara Tinkler (Jim) of TX, and Mary Tuttle (Terry Cox) of Park, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Eddie and Mike Leiker, and a great granddaughter: Huntleigh Thiessen.

A private memorial service with immediate family will be on Saturday, December 12, 2020. Inurnment will be in WaKeeney City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Shriners Hospitals for Children, in care of Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home. Condolences and memories of Roberta may be shared with the family at www.haysmemorial.com
