Victoria Lynn “Vicky” Wells
Victoria Lynn “Vicky” Wells, 71, Damar, died Thursday, June 4, 2026 at HaysMed surrounded by her family.
She was born June 8, 1954 in Hays, the daughter of Eugene and Anna Mae (Belisle) Normandin. She was a graduate of Palco High School with the class of 1972, and on September 2, 1972, she was united in marriage to Russell A. “Rusty” Wells in Damar. They celebrated 53 years of marriage.
Vicky was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Damar, St. Anne Sodality, and she enjoyed bowling in her local bowling league and playing cards, especially Skip-Bo and Uno. She was a devoted wife and mother, fun loving, and a cherished friend to many. She delighted in camping with Rusty at Webster Lake where she enjoyed driving the golf cart and gathering with good friends.
Survivors include her husband Rusty of Damar, her sons Jody A. Wells of Orlando, FL, and Ryan L. Wells and wife Becky of Damar, two brothers Michael Normandin of Westminster, CO and Ivan Normandin and wife Pam of Damar, three grandchildren Sadie Desair, Riley Stephen and husband Dalton, and Kenzie Wells and fiancé Ayden Nickelson, two grandchildren Landry Desair and Saylor Stephen, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers Tim, David, John, and Art Normandin.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Damar with Fr. Ernest Amoako-Opare officiating. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 on Tuesday and from 9:00 am until service time on Wednesday, all at the church in Damar. A vigil service and Rosary will be at 7:00 pm on Tuesday at the church. Memorials are suggested to St. Anne Sodality.
