Wayne Alan Morgan
Wayne Alan Morgan, 68, Hays, died Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at HaysMed.
He was born March 27, 1958 in Medicine Lodge, the son of Donald and Eva Mae (Coonfield) Morgan. Wayne was a graduate of Medicine Lodge High School, worked for Cross Manufacturing in Lewis for 25 years, and was a certified photographer. He was a member of Lewis Baptist Church.
On May 21, 1999, he was united in marriage to Bethany Clark in Kinsley, and they celebrated 26 years of marriage. Wayne was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, camping, and being in the mountains of Colorado. His grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he was grateful for the many years he lived near them.
Survivors include his wife Bethany of Hays, his mother Eva Mae Morgan of Shattuck, OK, six children John Kemp (Katie) of Salina, Brandon Morgan (Dinorah) of Tucson, AZ, Amber Magar (Jamie) of Lubbock, TX, Tiffany Morgan of Kinsley, Dustin Kemp of Onaga, and Jahue Warman (Kim) of Cairo, one sister Carol Schmidt (Dan) of Haysville, 20 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, a daughter-in-law Sarah Kemp, a son-in-law Luke Cody, and a grandson Paytum Morgan
A celebration of life will be at 11:00 am on Friday, May 29, 2026 at the Rock Building, 118 Main Street, in Lewis. Memorials are suggested to the family for funeral expenses with checks made payable to Bethany Morgan. Services are in the care of Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home and condolences and memories of Wayne may be left for his family at www.haysmemorial.com
