Willis Bieker Obituary

Willis Clifton "Bill" Bieker

Willis Clifton "Bill" Bieker went to be with his Savior on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at his home in Hays, Kansas. Bill was 77 years of age.

He was born on February 19, 1945, in Hays, Kansas, to Wilfred and Ruby (Dinkel) Bieker.  He graduated from Hays High School where he loved and excelled in sports. He then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was on active duty, stationed in France, for four years.

After returning to the states, Bill met the love of his life, Judy Arpin, on Main Street in Hays.  On February 3, 1968, they wed in Hays, Kansas and began their 54 beautiful years of marriage together.  During those years, Bill and Judy grew their family to include children Scott, Brian, and Danelle, and Bill truly enjoyed every minute with his family and many dear friends.  The ordinaries of life and the comforts of home always gave Bill great joy and contentment, but the greatest comfort in the latter years of his life came from his relationship with Jesus, his Lord and Savior.  In his last years, Bill could frequently be heard saying “I trust Jesus”.

Survivors include his wife Judy of Hays, sons: Scott (Molly) Bieker of Olathe and Brian (Dallas) Bieker of Manhattan, daughter: Danelle Bieker of Hays, foster daughter: Shannon (Sam) Leach of Tennessee, and brother: Rick (Judy) Bieker of Salina, his grandchildren: Adrienne Bieker of Overland Park, Alexis Bieker (Gabe) Fletcher of Manhattan, Cole Bieker of Manhattan, Macy Bieker of Tulsa, OK, Justin Bieker and Abbie Bieker, both of Hays, foster grandchildren: Noah and Seth of Tennessee, great-grandson, Jaxton Bieker of Hays, and one on the way.

Graveside services with military honors by the Hays VFW Post #9076 Honor Guard will be at 10:30 am on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at the Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery, WaKeeney.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.  Memorials are suggested to the Community Assistance Center Food Pantry, St. Joseph Food Pantry, First Call for Help Food Pantry, all of Hays, or to The Well-Center for Hope, WaKeeney.  Condolences and memories of Bill may be shared with his family at www.haysmemorial.com
