Our town librarian just sent me Barbara’s obituary. Barbara was a special friend to me. A gracious businesswoman, a loving person. A wonderful role model to all. I have several items I bought from her while she was in business in Ashland and in Protection. She left me with good memories of being around her and her family.

I was sorry to hear about the passing of Barbara. I met her and Curt, Sr when I started working at the bank in September, 1973. My prayers are with you and your family. She was a very bubbly person that gave you a lift whenever you met her.

I met Barbara when she came to Oskaloosa High School. We graduated together, always a very kind and loving person. So glad she is no longer in pain.

Barbara came to Oskaloosa to school our Junior year. We became good friends
and have stayed in touch for over 55 years. She was a kind and loving person,
loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally, and a dear friend. I will
miss her but I know she is now at peace.

Barbara was a wonderful person in the short time that I came to know her. She was always sweet and courteous to me and others. She showed her appreciation to me and others. I know she is no longer in pain or having discomfort, she has her heavenly body, having fellowship with our Lord and Savior-Jesus Christ.
