Our condolences to family of Gene Rohr, especially to Georgina Pfannenstiel.
Most of you do not know who I am. I was born in 1929, lived on a farm just south of the Ness City City limits, on the west side of the highway. I knew the George Rohr family when they lived a block or so north of the Sacred Heart Cemetery next to Eibert pasture. Even though I barely remember Gene, he and I were probably in the same class at Sacred Heart School. The Franz farm was just northeast across the creek from where Richard and Georgina Pfannenstiel lived before they moved to Lebanon, Mo. I drove their pickup loaded with shop tools when they moved to Lebanon, Mo in the early 50's.
Many times I have wondered where the Rohr family moved to and where the boys are. For some reason I remember Albert, Hubert, and Edwin better than Gene, whom I would like to have known better after reading his obituary and learning about his life. I knew Georgina very well as a neighbor.
Blessings to all the family,
Leonard and Lorita Franz
