Dr Rumpel was my adviser when I was completing my course work for my B.S.(1974) in chemistry at Fort Hays. I enjoyed my time with him as my adviser and the classes that he taught. my sympathy to all. Ivan P Schmidt

I'm sorry for your loss. I first knew Max when I attended FHSU in 1965. Several of my friends had him as a teacher, and they always talked about how brilliant he was. I especially miss being with him and Joan on New Year's Eve. Max impacted the lives of many in a very postitive way. His memory will live in the hearts of many.

Remembering Max as a brilliant student and young man - the College was so fortunate that he chose to stay close and teach there.
