I am so very sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in God's sure promise of a resurrection as set forth in the Bible. (Consider Acts 24:15; John 5:28,29) Those who are raised to life will have the prospect of never again being subjected to misery, sickness, or death. (Revelation 21:4) I hope that reflecting on these thoughts will give you some relief during this difficult time.

I was deeply saddened upon hearing of Bud's passing. I have many fond memories I have had with him. I played tennis for him for 3 years until he retired from coaching. Those were the best times I ever had was playing for him and playing with my teammates. He was the best tennis coach I ever had. But, it didn't stop there. I had many classes with him and enjoyed them all. I felt I was a better coach, person and educator because of it. Bud had a open door policy at the intramural office and just about every day I would stop by and talk with him or help him in making the award plaques for intramurals. There are only 4 people I trusted at FHSU, Bud, Dr. Fuerges (spelled wrong), Helen Miles and Dr. Zody. It was a true honor to call him my friend. I wish to send my deepest sympathies and my thoughts are sent for him and his family.

Dear Joy and family,
Please accept our condolences at this time of Bud's passing. He was a colleague of Jack's at FHSU, as well as a friend over the years since our college days. Bud was well respected and very much a gentleman in all respects. Those are rare qualities in present times. Blessings to you all.

Dear Joy and family, What a great man your husband and dad wa. We were blessed to have been your neighbors in Buhler. It hurts so much when they're gone. And it doesn't matter if it's slow or fast, whether it's a long drawn-out disease or an unexpected accident. When they're gone the world turns upside down and you're left holding on, trying not to fall off. We are remembering Bud and praying for all of you.

One of my fondest memories of time spent at Ft Hays was being around Bud. He was one of my favorite people at the entire school. He always had an upbeat, positive attitude that was contagious. He was truly one of a kind!

My condolences to the family. Bud was a true legend and his legacy will live on through you.

Bud was such an amazing man and mentor. He was exactly what I needed when I transferred to FHSU. As a student of his he told me exactly what it was going to take to be a successful teacher. When you left a Bud Moeckel class you were prepared to teach. He always had time for me and others just to stop and visit. He will be missed but never forgotten.

To The Moeckel Family,
You do not know me. I grew up on a farm south of Zenith and went to Stafford H.S. But, I saw Bud play basketball in high school. What a great player. I was three years younger, but I was so impressed with him. Several times my father and I would go to Sylvia and watch games. He was very friendly and as I remember a very kind person. What a life he had helping so many young people as a coach and teacher. He knew that I knew his cousin so he would take time to visit with me and my father after games. We knew his parents well and he got so much of his outstanding personality form them. My father, Earl, was a friend of his father.

He was such a fine person and one that I would look up to in my youth. I am a retired school principal here in Great Bend but I read his obit in the Hutch News.

Luann & Family, My deepest sympathy on the loss of your father. I have such fond memories of your mother and father throughout my entire middle school, high school years. (As your house was the best house to have "slumber" parties at!) As we grew older, I realize how special your entire family is. When I think of your father, I think of gentleness, a teacher, hard worker, friend and mentor to all. Sending prayers and love your way.

Luann & family. I was saddened to read of your dad's passing. I have fond memories of your family when we were next door neighbors on Canal with Karen driving us to school when it rained and spooking Guy when he was a tot. Your dad's lawn was always the envy of the neighborhood and I know he tended to his family much like he did with that lawn...with loving care. Wishing you all peace and strength at this time.
