Rev Burdsall "Herb" as we called him, was always my favorite minister at the Simms Methodist Church. He was an icon in our community, not only our minister, he was a true friend and someone I always looked up to. To Jonathan and Hannah both of which were our childhood friends, my thoughts and prayer are with you and your families. He leaves us with wonderful childhood memories.

In 2007, I was privileged to serve as the Pastor of Lincoln Community United Methodist Church during our Fiftieth Anniversary. A highlight of our celebration was a visit by the Burdsall family, spiritual founders of our congregation. We all leave a mark on the world and Herb's lasting legacy is to God's glory and the betterment of our community.

My heart is so sad because I have lost my dearest best friend. But I am happy in knowing Herb is once again with his beloved Jeanne. Thinking of each of you.
