When attending Hays Nazarene Church years ago, I would enjoy listening to Werner sing the specials. I could tell his faith was very dear to him. He was so nice to everyone.

I worked with Werner and just found out he had passed away. He was a nice man and I'm sorry to hear of his passing.

Werner...by now you have passed through the gates of heaven and have entered into the kingdom of God! My friend, you have gone on an incredible journey through life and its funny how our paths have crossed many times. Over the years I have enjoyed your German heritage ways and your stories of the past. I love listening to the dialec of ole Germany past, but have admired the "gentleness" of your heart and your soft spokeness!!! It's been a joy singing with you in the Kansas Mennonite Men's chorus, and loved all those practices in the car on the way to rehearsal. Anyway, you were one of a kind, and now you are a gem in the crown of Jesus! My heart goes out to your wife Regina and the rest of your family during this sad but celebrative time of your homecoming into heaven. Sleep well my friend as we will miss you very much!!!!
